The geographical exclusion saw races that were different from white Americans secluded in one part of the United States. Their access to basic amenities was put under vigilance and control by law (Brilliant 125). The effect of abject racial discrimination based on color became evident in when Supreme Court decided on a case involving Bhagat Singh Thind in 1923. The court had changed the definition of white to Caucasian but cited historical and anthropological reasons to brush Bhagat argument that he was Caucasian. This shows that the legal body did not want to admit out rightly it favored whites over any other race. United States divided immigrants as desirable and undesirable based on color following Bhagat’s case in 1923 (Kim 1106). A number of the citizenship applications were revoked if the desired immigrant was in marriage involving an Asian American. They would lose their citizenship for good and expatriation right away as marrying an alien was inadmissible according to Immigration act of 1924. The law that became approved by both assembly and Senate through a majority vote left out the Chinese, Indian, Koreans, and Japanese farmers. Washington was not left behind for it was motivated through English Common Law to pass restrictive laws to any Asian immigrant living United States. The restrictive laws became part of Washington statutes that took effect as early as 1886. Another law that restricted Asian Americans further on land lease and ownership was approved in 1920. The Alien Land Law formed in 1920 made it clear that aliens did not have the right to transfer land through sale or lease to Asian Americans. According to United States laws implemented before 1920, they were ineligible for citizenship and could not even use their children’s names to hide guardianship for the land (History-world. org). If the government suspected or found out that an Asian alien owned land or an Asian alien provided the money used to buy the land, the property would be confiscated immediately to become the property of the state. The aforementioned laws were unconstitutional and punitive because they gave white Americans undue power over the Asian American immigrants.

Depending on what state someone commits a crime determines what classification of crime they are charged with. Many states take the crime and the max incarceration period into consideration when determining what to classify ones crime as. If one is charged with a misdemeanor they normally will not be incarcerated for longer than a year. Examples of misdemeanors are theft under a certain dollar amount, vandalism, public intoxication, and or reckless driving. The financial burden of a misdemeanor compared to a felony is lower as well. If charged with a felony they will normally stay long after a year. Examples of felonies could be money laundering, murder, or manslaughter. Under the classification of a felony some jurisdictions also classify felonies into degrees or grades of seriousness for example class 1-6 felony and aggravated felony. When a healthcare professional is charged with a crime there careers could potentially be over. In the state of New York when a healthcare professional commits a felony even if not deemed medical misconduct or even involving their practice their license to practice medicine can be revoked. The state of Arizona as well will revoke all license of a physician if charged with not only felonies but also has the choice even if convicted of a misdemeanor. The Food and Drug Administration does have the authority to disbar physicians who are committed of felonies in all states. With being Military a military physician can be held accountable in both civilian and military courts if charged with a crime. With doing my research over these questions to me the penalty for committing a simple misdemeanor can be pretty harsh on a physician. Satan as a Renaissance character Essay Example For Students

Satan as a Renaissance character Essay Satan as renaissance character OR Paradise Lost under the influence of renaissance. Milton is the son both of the Renaissance and Reformation. Renaissance begins with the ancient Greek literature. Renaissance means rebirth of an interest in classical Greek literature. Renaissance revived mans interest in the world and gave him new eyes to look upon the beauty, love, life, learning and liberty. The earlier world was Thee-centric, means the God or Church was at the centre. Each and everything was dominated by Church. Man has had to what Church wanted him to do. Such was the indention of middle age (before renaissance). It is in 1 5th and 16th centuries that the English poets started reading the classical Greek literature, and the basic theme in that literature was Humanism I. E. The other name of Renaissance. And in renaissance the world became Homo-centric. There are basically three chief features of Renaissance or Classicism- 1. Individualism means the individual is important, man is important. Man is the centre of each and everything. Human values, emotions, feelings, desires, are important. They should be fulfilled. 2. Worldliness means the things of this world, attractions of the world, like- beauty, revenge, love, power, wealth. Means this world should not be neglected. 3. Strong determination / Strength of mind means that the mind plays a role like queen of chess in our life. It is our strength of mind or our attitude that can make a hell of heaven or a heaven of hell. # Satan-a renaissance character- All these features of classicism are clearly visible in Satan also. The ideology of Individualism or Humanism comes from the classical Greek literature. It talks about that man should be free, liberal. He shouldnt be under the supervision of anybody whether it is any person or God. This is what happened during the period of renaissance. Society or man challenged the authority of church. And this kind of ideology is reflected very clearly in Satins character. -First he revolted against God. He challenged the authority of the God. -He talks about the end of slavery and lays stress on equality. -He talks about liberty, power:- : To reign is the worth ambition, though in Hell: -Then Satan talks about the freedom, democratic ideology:- : Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven: : Awake, arise, or be for ever fallen: the ambition to become a ruler. He has the extreme love for power:- Profoundest Hell, Receive thy new possessor, one who brings A mind not to be changed by place or time: : Here we may reign secure, and in my choice, To reign is the worth ambition, though in Hell: -So far as the things like Jealousy, revenge are concerned, a person can go to any extent to achieve his aims. Here Satan also uses the false method, cunning strategy to take revenge from God. : Stirred up with new and revenge, deceived The mother of mankind -? -? And we can see that what a strength of mind Satan has! Even after losing to God, Satan speaks like a modern politician that nothing is lost, everything is under-control. : What though the field be lost? All is not lost- the unconquerable will: -Satan has the courage not to bend before anybody. : And courage never to submit or yield: -Satan says that however they are defeated physically, but their minds are the same and only mind matters, . , who overcomes By force hath overcome but half his foe: -Satan becomes an inspiration for the world that instead of crying one must face each and everything in his way. : Is this the That we must change for Heaven? . Be it so Satan is the reflection of such kind of determination that no place or time can : Receive thy new possessor-one who brings -And mind has very important place in our life, because it is the mind, it is the attitude of ours that in itself can make a situation hell of heaven or heaven of hell. It all depends upon the quality of our mind. : The mind is its own place, and in itself Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven: -Satan also talks about that he would not give God the pleasure that he has bend before God. This kind of ideology became an inspiration for the French Revolution (1789). .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .postImageUrl , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:hover , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:visited , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:active { border:0!important; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:active , .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u30bac3f8055413aa0428801563d9cffb:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Macbeth Character Analysis Of EssayThats why Satan is called an inspiration behind French Revolution, because the revolt was all about these kind of ideas- individualism, worldliness, and strong determination. The war between Satan and God is a symbol of war between Evil and Good. And it also symbolizes the conflict of Humanism with the dominance of religion or church. It is almost impossible for an artist to save his work from the blowing wind. So is in the Paradise Lost. As the wind was blowing against the dominance of religion or church, so Milton supported the ideology of renaissance with his tremendous work of Paradise Lost.
